Education + Workforce Development

A goal of the Clinical + Translational Science Institute is to prepare the current and next generation clinical and translational science workforce to address our nation’s healthcare needs. Through a variety of educational discussions, lectures, training programs, workforce development initiatives and a library of resources available on-demand, we seek to provide resources to a vast range of individuals including students in health-related programs, graduate students, residents, fellows, faculty, research personnel including research coordinators, technicians, fellows and other members of the clinical and translational science workforce and those interested in learning more.

Junior Penn State faculty or graduate students (including M.D./Ph.D. students) with an interest in rigorous education and training in clinical and translational research may apply competitively for our National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded KL2 Program for junior faculty or the TL1 Program for graduate and M.D./Ph.D. students in response to the periodic call for applications.
