The CTSI’s informatics team aims to advance data and computation-intensive translational research in biomedical and health sciences. This is achieved by building the right tools and systems for handling data, providing experts in data science and artificial intelligence (AI) and creating the necessary processes to analyze data. Informatics also offers support like idea labs, small pilot grants and consulting services to encourage teamwork between medical researchers and specialists in data science and AI. Additionally, CTSI informatics focuses on education and outreach to help clinical researchers understand the benefits and challenges of using AI in clinical and translational research.
CTSI’s informatics team is skilled in the latest machine learning (ML) and data science techniques, AI methods and data analytics pipelines. The team provides support for researchers at every step of their data-intensive biomedical and clinical studies, from planning to carrying out the project and sharing results.
