The CTSI’s informatics team is working to bring together different types of information, like health records and data about the environment and people’s living conditions. They’re doing this to create new ways to analyze this data, helping to predict and address real-world health issues. Services include:
- Consultation on study design and feasibility assessment for AI/ML projects
- Consultation on the choice of the appropriate data source (OHDSI, PCORNet, TrinetX) for specific projects
- Assistance with setting up or participating in multi-site studies with OHDSI network
- Assistance with cohort definition and data extraction
- Consultation on data deidentification protocol for projects that need to integrate EHR data with other, e.g., imaging data
- Support for data preparation
- Support for analysis of large data sets, including statistical characterization, prediction (AI/ML), effect estimation
- Support for model interpretation, interrogation, deployment, inference
- Help with preliminary AI/ML analysis in support of research proposal development
- Help with Informatics, Data Science, AI/ML elements of research plan
- Periodic idea labs, seed grants, and AI/ML methods workshops
Investigators needing assistance with purely statistical questions, e.g., sample size estimates, identifying appropriate hypothesis testing procedures, etc. are advised to consult with biostatistics.
